This documentary on Ayrton Senna is brilliant, regardless of whether or not you’re into Formula One. Constructed out of archival footage and interviews, Senna is an incredible portrait of arguably the world’s greatest Formula One driver, that feels less like a eulogy and more like the tale of a living legend.

Heat. Amazing. I can watch it over and over again, and continually find new elements to love. Whilst I think the film as a whole is immaculate, and probably Michael Mann’s masterpiece, one of the greatest aspects of Heat for me is its sound design. This scene in particular always blows my mind, the gunfire echoing off the buildings is pure cinematic audio glory.

The trailer for Sofia Coppola’s new film Somewhere is out, and for anyone who loved Lost In Translation, (pretty much everyone) it’s looking very similar thematically . Not surprisingly the soundtrack is by Phoenix, and it should be hitting cinemas in December.
