More short film than music video, this incredible clip from AG Rojas for Spiritualized’s track ‘Hey Jane’, tells the story of a transgender hooker and the brutal descent of her day. It seems like a powerful narrative is becoming a more essential element in music videos than ever before. I’m digging this trend heaps.

Geoffrey O’Connor’s (Crayon Fields, Sly Hats) latest solo LP Vanity Is Forever is due out in the next couple of weeks on the always excellent Chapter Music, and if the lead single ‘Whatever Leads Me To You’ is anything to go by, it’s going to be awesome synth-laden gold. Also worth keeping an eye out for is the upcoming debut LP from label-mates The Twerps, which is no doubt going to be grand too.

There’s basically nothing about this I don’t like. The awesomeness of Battles’ new track ‘Ice Cream’ off their forthcoming LP Gloss Drop combined with the awesomeness of Canada’s directorial abilities is a wonderful thing.

I was a little slow on this one, but this vid for Tyler The Creator’s ‘Yonkers’ off his forthcoming album Goblin is sick in pretty much every sense of the word.
